Lynden Christian 14, Ferndale 4

The Lyncs jumped out to a 4-0 lead early, and eventually poured it on in the final three innings to take the home victory. Junior Kassidy VanSoest went 5-for-5 with a homerun and five runs batted in, while also recording 12 strikeouts in her complete game victory in the circle. Lynden Christian also got homeruns from freshmen middle infielders Kortnee Tolsma and Taya Vander Kooi. The Golden Eagles got a pair of hits from Kaelin Blakley and Sianna Bob.

Borderite senior Emersyn Bakker was dominant once again as she struck out 15 batters in the shutout victory on the road. Blaine also scored four of its six runs in the final inning as junior left fielder Brie Smith drove in two runs. The Borderites also got a pair of hits from Bakker who had two doubles, junior Shaylie Daniels who had a homerun and senior Bella Vezzetti.

Junior shortstop Melanie Anderson was a triple away from hitting for the cycle and drove in four runs as she led the Lions to the road win. Senior catcher Kasi Thomas also added two doubles and a single while her and Anderson each scored three runs. Senior pitcher Trinity Andrew allowed just four hits and struck out eight batters as she picked up her ninth win of the season. Mariner senior catcher Elyse Krout went 2-for-2 and scored the lone Sehome run.

The Mountaineers flexed their muscles as they overwhelmed the Bayhawks at home. Senior Ava Jeretzky struck out eight batters in three innings of work, and she drove in five runs on three hits offensively. Freshman Kara Welters and junior Annalee Cohn each drove in four runs to help power the offense. Bellingham catcher Eden Johnson got the lone hit for the Bayhawks.

The Bulldogs took care of business at home, as the Pioneers struggled to get the offense going. Nooksack Valley’s two hits both came off the bat of junior catcher Alayna Dykstra.
