Lynden Christian freshman Roxanne Lenning struck out five batters in five plus innings of work.

Lynden Christian 13, Sehome 10

The Lyncs started out fast by scoring the first eight runs of the game over the first three innings, but the Mariners fought back to tie the game at 10-10 after six and a half innings. Lynden Christian loaded the bases in the bottom of the sixth inning and Taya Vander Kooi’s third hit of the game gave LC the lead, and that was followed up by two bases loaded walks which gave the Lyncs a little more of a cushion. Vander Kooi finished with four runs batted into lead her team offensively. Sehome senior Elyse Krout pounded three hits, including a double, while junior Rebekah Peterson added three runs batted in.
