Senior Kasi Thomas continued to swing a hot bat as she belted a double and a homerun to power the Lions past the Bayhawks at home. She also knocked in four runs while scoring three times, and she was aided offensively by senior Trinity Andrew who hit her first homerun of the season, senior Sierra Alexander and junior Rebecca Powell who each had two hits and three RBI’s and freshman Sarah McVie who also had two hits. Junior Emily McVie picked up her first win of the season in the circle. Bellingham’s Cassie Berwick was the lone player on her team to reach base, and she made the most of it by also nabbing to stolen bases.

The Wildcats pushed across run after run by taking advantage of the defensive woes of the Golden Eagles as Ferndale committed 11 errors over four innings. Junior catcher Kaelin Blakley was 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and scored the only run for the Golden Eagles.

Mount Vernon 6, Meridian 1
Trojan junior Madelyn Ritter tripled and scored in the seventh inning, but that would be the lone hit and run for Meridian as they dropped the conference game on the road. Senior pitcher Katie Prengaman struck out four over six innings of work and allowed just five hits but was dealt her first loss of the season.

Lakewood 13, Sehome 0
The Cougars used patience and power in a couple of six-run innings to take down the Mariners. Lakewood drew 11 walks over the first four innings, with eight of them coming around to score. Sophomore Greta Watson had two hits to lead the Sehome offense, and junior shortstop Rebekah Peterson hit a double to deep left field.

Lynden Christian 14, Nooksack Valley 3
Junior Kassidy VanSoest did a little bit of everything to help the Lyncs defeat the Pioneers on the road. She was 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and four runs batted in, and she also went the distance in the circle and struck out six batters en route to her third win of the season. Senior Addie DeJong knocked in three runs and scored three runs for Lynden Christian, while freshman Kortnee Tolsma and sophomore Taylor Craig each had 2 RBI’s. Nooksack Valley got a pair of hits from Lainey Kimball, Alayna Dykstra, Shelby Mason and Kennedy Burke.

The Storm took a quick 2-0 lead after the top of the first, but the Seahawks poured in 17 runs in the bottom of the inning as they then cruised to the victory. It was best offensive output of the season for Squalicum as Addison Hauber drove in two runs while Gabi Gearhart and Laela Staniford each scored two runs.
