The Borderites looked every bit of the conference championship team they were a year ago by excelling in all phases of the game against the Bayhawks. Blaine senior Emersyn Bakker pitched the first two innings and struck out the six batters she faced, before giving way to Shaylie Daniels in the circle who pitched the final two innings, and struck out three without allowing a base runner. Sophomore leadoff hitter Mesa Puls led offensively with three hits, and Bakker hit a triple to left field and drove in three runs.
