The Bayhawks held a slight 22-21 advantage with less than a minute to go in the third quarter, but then went on a 9-0 run over the next five minutes of game time which enabled them to pull away for the victory.
Eight different players got into the scoring column for the balanced Bellingham squad, and leading the way was sophomore forward Merritt Jensen who finished with eight points and eight rebounds.
The Bayhawks, who moved to 3-0 on the season, also got seven points, six rebounds and three steals from junior forward Mary Lockhart.
Blaine junior Aaliyah Bowman led the Borderites with nine points off the bench. Brietta Sandell added six steals and Brie Smith had nine rebounds.

Nooksack Valley 74, Lakewood 64
The high-powered Pioneers exploded offensively, and leading the way was 6-foot-1 junior center Grace DeHoog who shot 12-for-17 and scored a career-high 31 points.
Numerous buckets came on offensive put-backs for DeHoog, as 11 of her game-high 18 rebounds came on the offensive glass.
Junior guard Payton Bartl added 17 points, and senior guard Kate Shintaffer scored 10 points which included a pair of early three-pointers.
Junior guard Chayleigh Davis did a great job of getting her teammates involved as she totaled eight assists to go with her eight points.
