Ruano

Senior guard Jenny Ruano came off the bench to spark her team with 14 points, six rebounds, five steals and four assists as the Bayhawks upped their record to 4-1 on the season.

The Wildcats kept the game close throughout the first three quarters, and were down just four points entering the fourth, but Bellingham’s defense and rebounding allowed the Bayhawks to pull away at home.

Sophomore forward Merritt Jensen had 13 points and nine rebounds, and senior guard Malia Hanks had six points, seven boards, six steals and five assists.

J. James

The Blackhawk offense struggled early, with just one field goal made in the first five minutes of the contest, but their pressure defense turned into instant offense as they ran away with the road win.

Sophomore point guard Jemma James finished with 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting, including hitting two of her three deep ball attempts. She also had four rebounds and four steals.

Junior forward Ailina Rabang had 21 points, 11 rebounds and four steals while also going a perfect 3-for-3 from the foul line.

Junior guard Kashlyn Mack added eight points, seven steals, five rebounds and four assists.

Hermanutz

Sophomore guard Finley Parcher had 27 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Lions to their fifth straight win to start the season.

She also made 12 of her 19 field goal attempts and had three steals.

Junior forward Payton Mills also had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds of 5-of-8 from the field.

Sophomore guard Lexi Hermanutz finished with 10 points, and really got after it defensively with six steals, five rebounds and two blocked shots.
