Meridian 39, Squalicum 36
The Trojans came back from a seven-point deficit in the fourth quarter to grab the victory against the Storm on the road.
With the game tied at 34-34 Meridian sophomore guard Maddy Swanson hit a three-pointer with 46 seconds left, to give her team a huge boost.
Squalicum sophomore point guard Lexi Robbins answered with a runner off the glass to cut the lead to one point.
Trojan freshman Melanie Short was then fouled with 12.7 seconds left, and after hitting the first one she missed on the second one. The Storm grabbed the rebound, but went 0-for-2 at the line, and Swanson then went to the line after being fouled, and she made one of her two shots to give Meridian a three-point lead with 9.7 seconds left.
Squalicum was able to get across half court and call timeout with three seconds left. The play design worked, and the Storm were able to get off a corner three-ball, but the shot missed and the Trojans won.
Meridian senior point guard Brooklyn Fuller finished with nine points, five rebounds and four assists, and also remained perfect on the year from the foul line.
Robbins led the Storm with 11 points and seven assists, and senior center Loretta Murphy-Kangas had six points and 11 rebounds.

Junior guard Chayleigh Davis hit the eventual game-winning shot with five seconds left on the road as the Pioneers upped their record to 4-1 on the season.
Junior guard Payton Bartl got her outside shot going as she finished with a team-high 22 points, which included hitting three of her six attempts from downtown.
Junior center Grace DeHoog had another big night with 14 points and 16 rebounds, and Nooksack Valley also connected on 13 of its 16 free throw attempts.

Sehome 47, Mount Baker 44
Mountaineer freshman guard Rian Harkness hit a 3-pointer to tie the game at 44-44 with 41 seconds left, but Mariner junior guard Nora Kingsley hit two foul shots to give Sehome a 46-44 lead with 27 seconds to go.
A steal by sophomore Kate Schroeder gave the Mariners possession, and a final free throw by junior center Aspen Barge with 1.7 seconds left in the game secured the Sehome victory.
Sophomore guard May Madera led the Mariners with 16 points, and she shot 5-of-11 from the three-point line. Schroeder added 12 points, seven steals and four rebounds.
Mount Baker sophomore Rebeca Soares posted a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds, and she made all seven of her free throw attempts.
