  • Lynden 52, Stanwood 27

Parcher

The Spartans have played tough defense all year, holding many opponents to extremely low scores, and the Lions were up for the test at home as Lynden turned its defense up against Stanwood.

Sophomore guard Finley Parcher had the quick hands that enabled eight steals, which led to quick buckets. She was also 8-for-14 from the field, and 8-of-10 from the foul line for a game-high 26 points, while also pulling down six rebounds.

Junior forward Payton Mills added 16 points and eight rebounds while shooting 5-of-10 from the floor and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

Thompson

The Storm started strong, by scoring 22 points in the first quarter, and finished stronger, and by doing so they picked up the road victory.

Sophomore guard Tiana Thompson posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, both of which led Squalicum. She also hit 9-of-13 from the foul line.

The Storm also got 11 points from senior center Loretta Murphy-Kangas, sophomore point guard Lexi Robbins and freshman guard Kailana Perez.

Robbins also led the team with six assists and five steals.

Smith

Senior forward Brie Smith poured in 10 points to lead the Borderites past the Bruins on the road.

Junior forward Aaliyah Bowman added eight points, and junior guard Brietta Sandell finished with seven points, including a pair of three pointers.

Junior guard Marcella Bring and freshman guard Courtney Roff each scored a bucket for Blaine as well.

Bernardy

The game was tied at 9-9 after one quarter of play, but the Trojans shut the Red Wolves out in the second quarter, and continued to dominate in the second half to grab the road win.

Sophomore forward Eden Bernardy’s aggressive style of play enabled her to get to the foul line multiple times, and there she made eight of her nine attempts. She led her team with 14 points, while also totaling six rebounds and three steals.

Senior point guard Brooklyn Fuller added nine points, junior guard Kinsley Neal had eight points and sophomore forward Kaitlyn Storgaard came off the bench to grab a team-high nine rebounds.

Junior forward Mary Lockhart scored 12 points, but the Bayhawks fell on the road against the Warriors.

Sophomore forward Merritt Jensen added eight points for Bellingham.

Senior guard Malia Hanks and junior guard Alexyce Evans scored five points each for the Bayhawks.
