Fritts

The Lyncs were outscored in three of the four quarters, but they went on a 16-3 run in the second quarter, which enabled them to pull out the first round win in the Lynden Christmas Classic.

Junior guard Ella Fritts was the main catalyst in the big second quarter run for Lynden Christian, which included a sprinting layup that beat the halftime buzzer.

She finished with 15 points and six rebounds, both of which led the team.

Senior guard Danya Dykstra shot 3-for-4 from downtown and scored 10 points, and junior guard Estela Hernandez had seven points and four assists.

Parcher

The Lions went up 41-25 in the first half against the Mavericks and never looked back as they took a first round win in the Lynden Christmas Classic.

Strong offensive rebounding and aggressive play allowed Lynden to attempt 26 foul shots, 16 of which were converted.

Sophomore guard Finley Parcher scored 30 points on 11-of-22 shooting, while also collecting eight rebounds and four steals.

Junior forward Payton Mills had a double-double with 15 points and 10 boards, and sophomore guard Lexi Hermanutz added 10 points, five rebounds, five steals and three assists.

Short

The Trojans doubled up the Turns in the second quarter, and held on to the lead to take the first round win in the Trojan Storm Classic Tournament.

Freshman guard Melanie Short came off the bench to lead Meridian with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting. She also grabbed five rebounds and had five steals.

Sophomore forward Maddy Swanson had eight rebounds and four assists, and junior guard Kinsley Neal hit a pair of three-pointers.

Shintaffer

The Pioneers led 16-10 after the first quarter, but the Hawks were able to tie the game up before halftime, and pull away in the second half.

Senior guard Kate Shintaffer had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way, and junior center Grace DeHoog also had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. DeHoog also shot 7-for-10 from the field and had two blocked shots and two steals.

Junior guard Chayleigh Davis added four points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals.
