A strong first half by the Trojans pushed them to the finish line as they defeated the Cougars in the semifinals of the Trojan Storm Classic Tournament.
Sophomore forward Eden Bernardy scored 15 points to lead Meridian, and she was aided by sophomore forward Kaitlyn Storgaard who scored 10 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting from the field.
Sophomore forward Maddy Swanson worked hard in the paint and grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked two shots, and senior guard Brooklyn Fuller finished with nine points, eight rebounds, seven assists and four steals.

The reigning Anytime Fitness Girls Basketball Player of the Week is making a stronger case for this week as Finley Parcher scorched the net for 40 points in the Lion victory in the semifinals of the Lynden Christmas Classic.
The sophomore guard shot 14-for-21 from the field, and 11-for-12 from the foul line. She also grabbed six rebounds and had three steals.
Junior forward Payton Mills had 11 points and a team-high 18 rebounds, and sophomore guard Lexi Hermanutz finished with nine points, five assists, three rebounds and three blocked shots.

The return of freshman point guard Taylor Turrell was welcome, and she scored nine points in her first game back.

Junior forward Mary Lockhart hit the first six shots that she attempted, and finished with 15 points and six rebounds, but it wasn’t enough as the Bayhawks fell to the Saints on the road.

The Storm offense struggled to get rolling as the Cadets pulled out the road victory.
