The Rapids came across the border, and gave the Lions a game as the score was tied 30-30 at the half. However, the defending 2A state champions came out in the third quarter and went on a 25-6 run before putting the game away in the fourth.
Junior forward Payton Mills scored 11 of her game-high 30 points in the pivotal third quarter, as Lynden also got three-pointers from senior Melanie Anderson and sophomore Finley Parcher in the third.
Parcher finished with 17 points.

The pressure defense and deep shooting put the Trojans over the top against the visiting Wolverines.
Meridian totaled 18 steals and drained 13 shots from beyond the arc. Freshman Melanie Short came off the bench to score 11 points, while also gathering five rebounds and three steals.
Senior Sofia Brooks hit three of her four 3-point attempts to finish with nine points, and sophomore Eden Bernardy had seven points, four steals and four rebounds.
Senior point guard Brooklyn Fuller led with five assists and junior forward Taya Benson led with six rebounds.

It was a great start to the season for the Mountaineers as they went up 36-15 at the half on the road, and ultimately came away with the convincing win.
Sophomore forward Rebeca Soares was a force in her varsity debut as she scored 27 points on 11-of-15 shooting, and also had seven rebounds, four steals, two blocked shots and an assist.
Senior guard Faith Wilson also got off to a great start and scored eight of her 12 points in the first quarter on 4-of-4 shooting. She also totaled five rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks.
Junior Reace Brown also filled the stat sheet with five rebounds, three assists, three steals and two points.

The Storm led 24-17 at the half, and pulled away in the third quarter on the road as Squalicum went on a 20-3 run to begin the second half.
A big chuck of that scoring was due to freshman Kailana Perez who was making her varsity debut. She scored 10 of her team-high 14 points in the third.
The balanced Storm also received eight points from Tiana Thompson, as well as six points each from Lexi Robbins and Colee Harper.

La Conner 48, Blaine 27
Not only was it the varsity debut for 90% of the Borderite players, but it was also the high school debut, and Blaine stayed with the Braves throughout the first half as La Conner led just 21-17 at the midway point.
Turnovers was the name of the game for the inexperienced Borderites, but there were definite positives to pull from.
Junior forward Beatrice Dickson led Blaine with eight points, and junior Aaliyah Bowman added six points, five rebounds and five steals.
Senior forward Brie Smith finished with five rebounds, four points and three blocked shots, and sophomore point guard Kate Koreski had four points and five rebounds.
