The Borderites held a slight 26-25 lead at the half, but a 16-7 run in the third quarter allowed Blaine some breathing room.
The Mountaineers fought back in the fourth, scoring 15 points, but earlier foul trouble came back to haunt the home team as both senior Jenna Wineinger and freshman Violet Fox each fouled out in the waning minutes, and Blaine was able to seal the victory after that.
The Borderites were led by the 21 points of senior forward Jordyn Vezzetti who is averaging over 20 points over her last three games.
Senior guard Deja Dube added 12 points, and Teia Dube finished with 11 points for Blaine.
Fox led Mount Baker with 18 points, and Wineinger added nine points before both players exited early with five fouls each.

Nooksack Valley 54, Union 41
The Pioneers proved their worth at University of Puget Sound by defeating the 4A power Titans.
Already down two of its starters, Nooksack Valley got great inside play from senior Tana Hoekema (11 points and 15 rebounds) and sophomore Grace DeHoog (11 points and 12 rebounds).
Senior guard Devin Coppinger also finished with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Lynden Christian 44, Oak Harbor 36
The Lyncs started out with a strong 14-5 lead after one quarter, but the Wildcats came back strong in the second to close the gap to 23-20 at the half.
The Lynden Christian defense allowed just 16 points the rest of the way which helped pick up the road victory.
Junior Grace Hintz led her team in scoring with 14 points on 5-of-12 shooting from the floor.
Junior forward Allison Shumate scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while senior forward Tabby DeJong added 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots.

Lakewood 63, Bellingham 39
The Cougars rattled off 22 points in the first quarter and didn’t look back as they defeated the visiting Bayhawks.
Junior guard Malia Hanks had 14 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals for Bellingham.
Sophomore forward Mary Lockhart added 12 points and five rebounds while freshman forward Merritt Jensen finished with eight bouts and five rebounds.
