  • Nooksack Valley 69, Meridian 34

Four and half minutes into the game, the Trojans held a 13-9 lead against the defending state champions. However, they couldn’t hold onto it for long as Nooksack Valley rattled off 19 points in the second quarter and went into the locker room with a 38-19 lead at the half.

Seniors Devin Coppinger and Tana Hoekema combined for 45 points. Coppinger also grabbed 12 rebounds, totaled seven assists and four steals.

Hoekema finished with nine rebounds and five assists.

Meridian sophomore guard Kinsley Neal led her team with 12 points, all of which came from behind the three-point line.

  • Sehome 61, Anacortes 52

Ball distribution was key for the Mariners who won their fifth game in a row.

Sehome totaled 17 assists, and had four players score in double digits.

Senior guard Emmy Hart led with 12 points, while fellow seniors Madi Cooper, Kylie Watson and Natalie Brewer scored 10 points each.

Senior Macie Aven led with six rebounds and Watson led with six assists.

  • Squalicum 42, Sedro-Woolley 23

The Strom played great defense on the road, and held the Cubs to just 22% shooting on the game.

Senior guard Mari Binning stuffed the stat sheet once again with 14 points, six assists, five steals, five rebounds and two blocked shots.

Freshman forward Addison Kettman added eight points and six rebounds.
