  • Sehome 65, Oak Harbor 48

The Mariners won the opening tip-off and scored five points before racing to an early 15-point first-quarter lead. Sehome was out in front 36-15 by halftime.

The Wildcats were only outscored 18-16 by the Mariners in the final quarter of play, but Sehome had already done what it needed to in the first three quarters to get the win.

The Mariners were led in scoring with by senior guard Emmy Hart who had 23 points, including buckets from beyond the arc. Fellow seniors Madi Cooper and Natalie Brewer each contributed 14 points.

  • Lynden Christian 74, Mount Baker 36

After a tightly contested first half, which saw the Lyncs leading 26-21 at halftime, Lynden Christian exploded with a 30-point effort in the fourth quarter alone and the Mountaineers weren’t able to recover.

The Lyncs’ scoring was very even, as all five starters scored at least eight points each.

Junior forward Allison Shumate had team-high 14 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor. Senior forward Tabby DeJong scored 12 points and junior guard Danya Dykstra had 11 points, seven steals, six rebounds and three assists.

Mount Baker was led by senior forward Jenna Wineinger who had 15 points, and sophomore guard Natalie VanLiew who finished with 12 points, and five steals.
