After a scoreless first half, sophomore forward Kyle Ivcevic scored an unassisted goal in the beginning of the second half. About 25 minutes later, sophomore Ayla Woodworth scored on an assist from junior Madison Goodman to help seal the road victory for the Mariners.

Junior forward Hannah Waslohn scored the opening goal of the game, with an assist from sophomore defender Kasey O’Neill. Waslohn broke loose again in the second half to score her second goal of the evening. The Spartans scored on a penalty kick after a hand ball was called in the box.
Senior goalkeeper Jaiden O’Neill stood out all night with multiple amazing saves, which ultimately won the game for the Golden Eagles.
