In a physical game that had a lot of battling back and forth, the Falcons scored a goal halfway through the first half of play.
The score remained at 1-0 for the majority of the game until the 78th minute when Gretchen Elmendorf beat her opponent down the sideline and crossed the ball in for Khloe Mora to finish it off and tie the game at 1-1.
In the final 30 seconds the Pioneers were called for a hand ball in the box, which resulted in a penalty kick. Nooksack Valley goalkeeper Sarah Isenhart made the save, but the wall was unable to be cleared and South Whidbey ended up scoring the game-winning goal.
