The Mariners got on the board first when junior Emery Samuelsen found junior Keira Reeves for a goal about halfway through the first half. The Lyncs received their goal sophomore Kayla Speer hit a lofty cross-shot at the far post after a corner kick clearance with about 15 minutes left in the game.

A true battle between two great teams, which had shifting momentum and great ball movement throughout.

  • Nooksack Valley 4, Mount Baker 1

The Pioneers looked strong on senior night, as they honored their three seniors, Sarah Isenhart, Keana Mora and Alayna Dykstra.

Gretchen Elmendorf scored the opening goal and the final goal of the game for Nooksack Valley. The Pioneers also got goals from Kennedy Brown and Khloe Mora, and the Mountaineer goal came by the way of Tyla Olson about 30 seconds into the second half.

  • Ferndale 2, Anacortes 1

The Seahawks got on the board first, but didn’t hold the lead for long as less than a minute later a shot on goal by Golden Eagle sophomore Kasey O’Neill hit the crossbar, and was then tapped in by senior Kayt Sierra.

Ferndale sophomore Josie McClellan scored on a left-footed boot less than a minute into the second half, and senior goalkeeper Jaiden O’Neill held on for the remainder of the contest.

  • Bellingham 4, Squalicum 1

With a victory earlier in the season against Sehome, the Bayhawks secured the city championship with the win over the Storm.

Bellingham got goals from seniors Ivy Newell, Ella Morrow and Sloan Mahn, as well as junior Beckett Ferry. Squalicum’s goal came from junior Kiarra Voigt.

  • Lynden 1, Mount Vernon 0

Sophomore Brooklyn Bourgault scored the lone goal of the game in an intense defensive battle. The Lions remained undefeated on the season.

  • Sedro-Woolley 1, Meridian 0

The Trojans battled but just came up short, as they fell to 2-7-1 in conference play.

  • Burlington-Edison 4, Blaine 0

The Borderites were shut out while trying to reach their fourth conference victory of the season.
