Two huge plays by the Golden Eagles sealed the victory at home.

A corner kick off the boot of sophomore Josie McClellan made it’s way to fellow sophomore Kasey O’Niell who converted the lone goal of the game.

The other big play was when senior goalkeeper Jaiden O’Neill stopped a penalty kick, which would have tied the game.

The Borderites played strong defense against a very aggressive Cougar offense, and senior goalkeeper Larissa Pluschakov came away with the shutout.

Blaine’s first goal came just before halftime when sophomore Nevaeh Zaddack scored on an assist from fellow sophomore Marcella Bring.

Junior Brietta Sandell scored in the second half for the Borderites.
