Not only did the Bayhawks remain unbeaten, but they did so against one of the best teams in the conference, and have still yet to allow a goal this season.

It was back and forth throughout the game with both teams creating chances but unable to break through some tough defenses. Sophomore midfielder Samiah Rowe scored the lone goal of the night off a Gracie Gouran freekick in the 55th minute of the game.

Freshman goalkeeper Uma Bachmeier and the Bellingham defense were able to stop Sehome’s final pushes at the end of the game to keep the clean sheet.

  • Lynden 2, Nooksack Valley 0

The Lions received first half goals from seniors Evelyn Saldivar and Jayda Villars to give their team a bit of a cushion. The Pioneers were forced to end the game prematurely after halftime as injuries mounted up, and they didn’t have enough athletes to continue.

  • Squalicum 2, Burlington-Edison 0

The freshman duo of Siri Hoglin and Kailana Perez led the way for the Storm in their home shutout win. Hoglin scored both of Squalicum’s goals, and Perez was in the net to post her second shutout in a row.

  • Mount Baker 0, Meridian 0

Mountaineer senior captains Faith Wilson and Tyla Olson held the backline all night, and fought off Meridian’s numerous offensive attacks, as both goal keepers, Mount Baker senior Melanie Wilson and Meridian freshman Gretchen Zandstra, did an outstanding job to keep the match at a scoreless tie.

  • Lynden Christian 4, Blaine 0

The Lyncs got goals from four different players in their balanced attack. Freshman Kaelyn Hinton and sophomore Hattie Hendricks scored their first varsity goals, and also getting into the scoring column was senior forward Andi Anderson and junior midfielder Kayla Yun.

Junior Hannah Terpstra and senior Jessa Wynstra shared duties in goal to preserve the shutout.
