Junior Abby Washburn scored the game-winning goal with three minutes left to give the Mountaineers their first win of the season.

The Cougars got on the board first with a goal 15 minutes into the contest, and Mount Baker tied it up late in the first half when freshman Nadia Villanueva-Major scored at the top of the box on an assists from senior Tyla Olson.

Mountaineer junior goalkeeper Mackenzi Flores kept Mount Baker in it throughout the second half.

  • Ferndale 2, Blaine 1

The Golden Eagles received goals from sophomores Kasey O’Niell and Josie McClellan and by doing so they picked up the road victory.

Sophomore Kate Koreski scored the lone goal for the Borderites who battled hard the entire night.

 

  • Lynden 1, Lynden Christian 0

It was all defense for the most of the afternoon at Bender Fields in Lynden, with the one goal of the game coming from Lion sophomore Kyleigh McVie.

It was another great effort by the Lyncs, who still sit at the top of the NWC 1A teams, and the Lions picked up their 13th conference win.

 

  • Sehome 6, Nooksack Valley 0

Sophomore Ayla Woodworth scored the first two goals less than 12 minutes into the game, and the Mariners kept rolling from there.

Sehome sophomores Vivian Moss and Alexis Maldonado each scored before halftime to give Sehome a 4-0 lead at the break.

Sophomore Kate Schroeder then scored a goal two and a half minutes into the second half, and senior Triya Mitchell capped the scoring four minutes later.

Junior Keira Reeves had two assists, and the Mariners also picked up assists from Mitchell and freshman Kaila Reeves.

 

  • Bellingham 6, Mount Vernon 0

It was a career night for senior midfielder Gracie Gouran who scored four goals to lead the Bayhawks to victory at home.

Bellingham also received goals from seniors Ella Morrow and Zoe Burke.

 

  • Squalicum 3, Meridian 0

The Storm picked up their ninth victory of the season at home by shutting out the Trojans.

Goals were scored by senior Hannah Bates, junior Ava Simmons and freshman Addisyn Wilson.
