After a scoreless first half, the Golden Eagles scored the lone goal of the game 15 minutes into the second half on a corner kick that hit off of a Bulldog player.

Senior goalkeeper Jaiden O’Neill played great all night, and helped secure the win for Ferndale.

  • Lynden 4, Burlington-Edison 0

Junior Meg Clarke scored a pair of goals and senior Morgyn Heutink had a pair of assists as they led the Lions to another home victory.

Lynden also got goals from senior Maliah Mitchell and junior Rilanna Newcomb, and assists from seniors Evelyn Saldivar and Jayda Villars.

  • Blaine 2, Mount Baker 1

In a game that featured a steady downpour of rain throughout, the Borderites eked out a close win on the road.

The Mountaineers opened up the scoring in the 18th minute when Abby Washburn scored on a shot from outside the box.

Blaine answered back six minutes later when Nevaeh Zaddack hit a shot from distance.

After a 1-1 halftime score, the Borderites scored the eventual game-winning goal when Bea Dickson took control of the ball off a missed clearance from Mount Baker with 10 minutes left in the contest.

Blaine goalkeeper Larissa Pluschakov made a big save in the second half that proved to have a major impact on the outcome.

  • Meridian 2, Nooksack Valley 1

Trojan freshman Mila Kravtsov scored off a cross pass from senior Brooklyn Fuller, and freshman Avery Francis also scored to help lead Meridian past the Pioneers at home.

Trojan senior Sofie Brooks saved a pair of goals from going in from her center defender position, which would have changed the outcome.

Nooksack Valley junior Maggie Byers scored in the second half after teammate Jessica Kingma put pressure on the opposing defense which forced an error, and allowed for the goal.

  • Bellingham 6, Lakewood 0

Bayhawk sophomore Sophia Dionne scored a pair of goals to lead Bellingham to the road victory.

Goals were also scored by senior Ivy Newell, junior Beckett Ferry, sophomore Ana Rubey and freshman Averie Riddell.

  • Sehome 5, Anacortes 4

In a constant back-and-forth battle, the Mariners were able to do just enough to best the visiting Seahawks.

Sophomore Amaia Reed scored the first goal of the game for Sehome 10 minutes in, on an assist from sophomore Ayla Woodworth, and sophomore Vivian Moss scored 22 minutes later on an assist from senior Triya Mitchell.

The attacking sophomores of Sehome didn’t let up as Kylie Ivcevic scored back-to-back goals early in the second half, on assists from junior Keira Reeves as well as Moss.

Woodworth scored the final goal of the game for the Mariners during stoppage time, and she was assisted by junior Ella Perry.

The key to the game was Moss who played extremely hard as she created opportunities for herself and her teammates. Her pressure helped to create turnovers that gave Sehome chances on goal.

  • Squalicum 1, Sedro-Woolley 0

A goal by Ava Simons proved to be winning shot just 11 minutes into the contest.

The Cub goalkeeper made a great save on a prior shot, and the fleet-footed junior quickly booted the ball into the net off the riccochet.

Storm freshman goalkeeper Kailana Perez secured her third shutout in a row.

  • Oak Harbor 3, Lynden Christian 1

Lync junior Kayla Yun scored on a penalty kick in a tightly contested game on the road.

The Wildcats scored a late goal to put the game away, as Lynden Christian fought hard throughout by contesting Oak Harbor’s strong attacking game.
