Six different Lyncs got into the scoring column, with sophomore Ava VanHofwegen leading the way with a pair of goals.

It was Lynden Christian’s second shutout in a row, and the Mountaineers are still efforting to pick up their first win of the season.

The offensive powerhouse that is the Lynden girls soccer team continued to roll as senior Evelyn Saldivar scored a season-high four goals to lead the way.

Junior Meg Clarke and senior Maliah Mitchell also scored goals for the Lions who remained undefeated on the season.

  • Sehome 3, Oak Harbor 1

The Wildcats got into the scoring column first with an early goal off a turnover, but the Mariners were able to tie the game up at 1-1 just before the half when junior midfielder Keira Reeves scored on a great cross pass from sophomore Ayla Woodworth.

After an evenly played first half, Sehome was able to strike again to take the lead in the second half when Woodworth tapped in a rebound off the goalie after a powerful shot from Reeves.

Senior Triya Mitchell concluded the scoring when she dribbled past a few players to score from about 12 yards out.

  • Bellingham 3, Ferndale 0

After a scoreless first half, it was all Bayhawks in the second.

The Golden Eagles defended well, and made clutch saves at the goal, but two goals from senior Ivy Newell and one by freshman Averie Riddell proved to be too much.

Freshman goalkeeper Uma Bachmeier secured yet another clean sheet, with some help from defenders Stella Eltrich and Kira Carlson.

  • Blaine 2, Nooksack Valley 1

The first half showed a couple scoring opportunities for both teams, but both goalkeepers played well and didn’t allow a single score.

Both teams played faster in the second half, and the Borderites opened up the scoring on a goal from sophomore Nevaeh Zaddack on a cross from junior Beatrice Dickson.

The Pioneers evened the score up moments later when junior Maggie Byers struck a shot that the defender tried to clear, but ended up going into the net.

Blaine sophomore Kate Koreski scored the final goal, which ended up being the game winner, on a beautiful shot into the top corner of the net.

  • Burlington-Edison 7, Meridian 0

The Trojans struggled against the stronger Tigers on the road, and fell to 1-4-1 on the season.

  • Mount Vernon 2, Squalicum 0

The Storm hung with the 3A Bulldogs for most of the match, but ultimately fell to 3-2 on the season.
