FERNDALE 3, BELLINGHAM 0

Larrabee

The Golden Eagles defeated the Bayhawks in three straight sets, 25-16, 25-14 and 25-12 at home.

Sophomore Brooklyn Larrabee set her teammates up all night, and totaled 22 assists to along with nine digs.

There were many recipients to Larrabee’s passes as sophomore Svetlana Baydak had eight kills, and she was joined by senior Lay Williams who had five, as well as senior Terrace Hendrickson and sophomore Kristen Solomon who each had four.

Senior Olivia Copps led Ferndale with four aces, and junior Katrina Ferry finished with nine digs.

Bellingham information has yet to be obtained.

NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, BLAINE 1

Juergens

The Pioneers started out extremely strong at home, and won the first set 25-11. The Borderites made it closer in the second set, but Nooksack Valley came out on top 25-18.

Blaine kept improving, and took the third set 25-21, before falling to the Pioneers 25-20 in the fourth set.

Nooksack Valley junior Avery Juergens had team-highs with 13 digs and an incredible seven aces, and sophomore Elizabeth DeLange was strong at the net with 15 kills and three blocks.

Dube

Junior Grace DeHoog had nine kills and a block, while junior Payton Bartl dished out 25 assists and sophomore Karson Olney added five digs.

The Borderites were led by sophomore Teia Dube who finished with 13 kills and a .280 hitting percentage.

Senior Kaitlyn Harrington added seven kills and a team-high 13 digs and three aces. Senior Brie Smith gave out 20 assists and sophomore Livia Weeda had five blocks.

 

LYNDEN 3, SEDRO-WOOLLEY 0

DeJong

The Lions played well at home, and won the first two sets 25-17 and 25-9. The Cubs played though in the third set, but Lynden found a way to emerge on top and won 27-25.

Sophomore outside hitter Finley Parcher continued her hot streak with 16 kills on a .297 hitting percentage, as well as three aces.

Junior Rian Stephan played another great match with 11 kills, 15 digs and a team-high four aces, and junior Campbell DeJong added a career-high 15 digs to go with two aces.

Freshman setter Izzie Stephan added 34 assists, and a block, and junior Reese Nyhoff added three aces from the service line.
