LYNDEN 3, OAK HARBOR 0

Nyhoff

The Lions took care of business on their home court by beating the Wildcats 25-17, 25-13 and 25-12.

It was another big night for sophomore Finley Parcher who led her team with 16 kills, a .520 hitting percentage and 17 digs.

Junior Reese Nyhoff served up four aces, and freshman Izzie Stephan had 28 assists and five digs.

Junior Rian Stephan finished with eight kills and eight digs.

 

NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, SEDRO-WOOLLEY 1

Stremler

Junior Grace DeHoog finished with 20 kills and 17 digs, both team-highs, as the Pioneers picked up the win at home.

The Cubs won the first set 25-23, but Nooksack Valley regrouped and took the next three 25-20, 25-14 and 25-18.

Junior Annie Stremler had a team-high five aces to go along with nine digs, and sophomore Karson Olney added three aces and seven digs.

Sophomore Elizabeth DeLange finished with 12 kills, three blocks and two aces, while junior Payton Bartl had 35 assists, 15 digs and two aces and junior Gracie Rutgers had seven kills and 11 digs.

 

SEHOME 3, SQUALICUM 0

Lockwood

The Mariners their seniors with another big win in their final home match, 25-14, 25-20 and 25-10 over the Storm.

All three seniors had big nights as Emmy Lee finished with 26 assists and five digs, Leah Lockwood posted five kills and five blocks and Maddie Behrends also had five kills with a .500 hitting percentage.

Warner

Junior Hayden Niewiadomski led her team with 16 kills, and junior Bridgette Adams wasn’t far behind with 10 kills. Sophomore Paige Flory added five aces, while junior Makenna Andrews had 12 digs and three aces.

Squalicum was led offensively by junior Hannah Warner who had a team-high eight kills. Sophomore Alyssa Roselli added seven assists and two aces.

Sophomore Bronwyn Jones led her team with nine digs, and sophomore Carli Kiesau had four kills.

 

MERIDIAN 3, ANACORTES 0

Short

The Trojans went on the road and defeated a very talented Seahawk team in three straight sets, 26-24, 25-15 and 25-18.

The flying freshman Melanie Short was back at it with 11 kills, a .346 hitting percentage and four aces, all of which led her team.

Sophomore Eden Bernardy and junior Gracie Pap also had eight kills each, while Pap also collected two blocks against the incredibly hard-hitting Anacortes team.

Senior Rylan Bernardy collected 16 digs and three aces, while senior Grace Wells dished out 31 assists and junior Taya Benson added six kills.

 

LAKEWOOD 3, FERNDALE 2

Copps

The Cougars started out strong at home, and took the first two sets 27-25 and 25-18, but the Golden Eagles clawed their way back into it by winning the next two sets 25-17 and 25-19.

The fifth set was tied at one point 7-7, but Lakewood went on a run to close it out and ultimately won 15-7.

Senior Lay Williams had a career night as she totaled 25 kills for Ferndale. Junior Katrina Ferry also finished with 30 digs, and she was closely followed by senior Olivia Copps who had 22 digs.

Sophomore Brooklyn Larrabee was all over the court with 38 assists, 18 digs, seven kills and six aces, and senior Kaylie Carver added 16 digs.

 

BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 0

Parriera

The Tigers remained unbeaten in conference play by defeating the Lyncs 25-15, 25-16 and 25-19.

Sophomore Lyla Parriera worked hard in the back court to pick up 15 digs, while also posting one of her team’s two aces.

Freshman Tyra Dykstra added seven kills and three digs, while junior Ella Fritts finished with 23 assists, five digs and four kills.

Junior Etta DeJong and sophomore Jocelyn Eshuis had five kills each, and junior Alli Wright led her team with a pair of blocks.
