The Storm took care of business on their home court and defeated the Mountaineers 25-17, 25-19 and 25-16.

Junior Jolie Paz led the offensive attack with 12 kills while also picking up eight digs, and sophomore Penelope Durias finished with eight kills and seven digs.

Senior Jazzy Bersola handed out 15 assists, while sophomore Alyssa Roselli added 11 assists and a team-high four aces, and juniors Ella Insera and Archer Burns combined for

seven kills and a .300-plus hitting percentage. Burns also picked up three assists.

The Mountaineers were led by the four kills and four blocks of junior Maddi Lewis, and also received two kills and two blocks from senior Gracie Zender who played great at her new position on the right side.

Senior Dakota Jimmie also served up three aces to lead Mount Baker, and senior Annalee Cohn finished with nine assists and two aces.

 

SEHOME 3, SEDRO-WOOLLEY 0

Niewiadomski

The Mariners continued their hot streak by defeating the Cubs at home 25-17, 25-22 and 25-8.

Junior Hayden Niewiadomski ripped off another double-double as she finished with 10 kills and 10 digs to go along with three aces. Fellow junior Makenna Andrews also served up three aces to go with her 10 digs.

Senior Emmy Lee and freshman Taylor Turrell combined for 32 assists as they set up multiple teammates throughout the night. Some of the beneficiaries include seniors Leah Lockwood and Maddie Behrends, as well as juniors Anya Winter and Bridgette Adams, all of which finished with six kills each.

The Mariners also had a .301 hitting percentage as a team.

 

ANACORTES 3, BELLINGHAM 0

Burge

The Bayhawks played tough but ultimately fell to the Seahawks 25-15, 25-16 and 25-18.

Junior Mary Lockhart led her team at the service line with three aces while also picking up two kills and two blocks.

Sophomore Bailey Burge added a team-high eight digs, and junior setter Sadie Hanley had 16 assists.

Bellingham also got three kills each from juniors Olivia Siemanowski and Jayda Knutsen as well as sophomore Neybi Vasquez and freshman Sonoma Smith.
