On senior night, the Lyncs powered through the first two sets 25-17 and 25-10, but fell behind 11-2 in the third set.

After regrouping, Lynden Christian was able to come all the way back and complete the sweep by winning 27-25.

Junior Etta DeJong went on the offensive attack and finished with 15 kills to lead her team to go along with three aces. Junior Ella Fritts stuffed the stat sheet with 35 assists, five kills, six digs and 2.5 blocks.

Senior Sydney Terpstra added eight kills in her final match at home, while sophomore Lyla Parriera finished with 12 digs and four aces.

 

LYNDEN 3, LAKEWOOD 1

K. Hermanutz

The Cougars got out of the blocks fast, and took the first set at home 25-18. The Lions made their adjustments and went from there to take the next three sets, 25-16, 25-16 and 25-15.

Junior Rian Stephan led Lynden with five aces while also posting a double-double of 11 kills and 20 digs. Junior Finley Parcher put forth similar numbers with 15 kills, 16 digs and three aces.

Sophomore Lexi Hermanutz finished with 12 kills (.333 hitting percentage) and two blocks, and senior Kamryn Hermanutz picked up 20 digs.

Junior Campbell DeJong dug out 14, and set freshman Izzie Stephan out all night who finished with 37 assists and four kills.

 

ANACORTES 3, MOUNT BAKER 0

Zender

The Mountaineers battled tough at home against the high-flying Seahawks, but ultimately fell 25-21, 25-14 and 25-19.

Junior Reace Brown led with four kills, a .273 hitting percentage and a pair of blocks. Sophomore Rebeca Soares and senior Gracie Zender also kept numerous plays alive with their hustle on defense.

Senior Annalee Cohn added seven assists, while also leading her team in digs.
