The Lions performed with consistency and power as they defeated the Trojans on the road, 25-17, 25-16 and 25-15.
Sophomore Finley Parcher led the way up front with 11 kills, followed closely by junior Rian Stephan who had 10. Sophomore Lexi Hermanutz added three blocks to lead Lynden.
Lion lone senior Kamryn Hermanutz led with 10 digs, freshman Izzie Stephan had 31 assists to go along with three aces.
Meridian was led by freshman Melanie Short who had 11 kills and seven digs. Senior Rylan Bernardy had 10 digs, and senior Grace Wells handed out 16 assists.
SQUALICUM 3, BLAINE 2
After the Borderites won the first two sets, 25-23 and 26-24, the Storm dug down deep to come back and with the next three, 25-21, 25-21 and 15-4 to come away with the home victory.
Squalicum junior Jolie Paz racked up eight kills, while also picking up two aces, seven digs and a block. Junior Archer Burns added seven kills and four digs.
Sophomore Penelope Durias served up six aces to lead the Storm, and senior Jazzy Bersola added 14 assists.
The Borderites were led by sophomore Teia Dube and senior Kaitlyn Harrington who each posted double-doubles. Dube had 14 kills and 13 digs, and Harrington added 13 kills and 11 digs. Both players also had two aces.
Senior Brie Smith finished with 39 assists and junior Carly Saunders added 12 kills, eight digs and two blocks.
LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 3, BELLINGHAM 0
It was a strong showing from the Lync back row, as they delivered the ball to junior setter Ella Fritts, who then distributed the offense to provide a balanced scoring attack.
Lynden Christian defeated the Bayhawks 25-16, 25-10 and 25-15 for the home win.
Fritts totaled 31 assists to go along with eight digs and two aces.
Senior Sydney Terpstra and sophomore Jocelyn Eshuis each totaled seven kills, while Eshuis and junior Alli Wright each had 2.5 blocks.
Junior Ellie Meyer and sophomore Lyla Parriera led the Lyncs with 10 digs a piece, while Parriera and junior Etta DeJong each had three aces.
Bellingham was led junior Mary Lockhart who had six kills. Sophomore Bailey Burge added 14 assists and nine digs and freshman Sonoma Smith led with three aces.
FERNDALE 3, MOUNT BAKER 0
The Golden Eagles started out fast, and kept it going as they defeated the Mountaineers 25-6, 25-18 and 25-15.
It was a balanced scoring attack for Ferndale, which totaled 21 kills between seven players. Sophomore Svetlana Baydak led with five.
Sophomore Brooklyn Larrabee led her team with 17 assists as well as five aces, and junior Katrina Ferry had eight digs.
Mount Baker’s defense at the net was strong, with seniors Annalee Cohn and Cailyn Jewell leading the charge.
Junior Maddi Lewis led with six kills to go along with four aces, while Cohn added five aces, three kills, 11 assists, seven digs and five blocks.
