LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 3, MOUNT BAKER 0

DeJong

The much taller Lyncs kept a strong attack on all evening to defeat the Mountaineers 25-17, 25-12 and 25-19 on the road.

Junior Etta DeJong led her team with 10 kills, while also picking up 1.5 blocks and two aces.

Brown

Junior Ella Fritts added 23 assists, three kills, four aces, six digs and three kills, and sophomore Lyla Parriera had a team-high 10 digs.

Mount Baker was led by junior Maddi Lewis who finished with 11 kills, seven aces and four blocks. Senior Gracie Zender and junior Reace Brown each had five kills, while senior Annalee Cohn had 16 assists and two blocks.

 

SEHOME 3, OAK HARBOR 1

Winter

After winning the first two sets 25-12 and 25-14, the Wildcats clawed back to take the third set 28-26.

However, the Mariners settled down, and ultimately won the fourth set 25-15 at home.

Junior Bridgette Adams flew through the air to rack up 14 kills, while also picking up 16 digs. Fellow junior Hayden Niewiadomski also posted a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs.

Junior Anya Winter added 10 kills at incredibly efficient .500 hitting percentage.

Sophomore Paige Flory was a big boost for the Mariners as her team-high four aces, along with her 12 digs, helped spark Sehome, and senior setter Emmy Lee recorded 38 assists.

 

MOUNT VERNON 3, SQUALICUM 2

Paz

It was back and forth all night as the Bulldogs took the first set 25-21, and the Storm won the second set 28-26.

Mount Vernon then blasted through to win 25-14 in the third, and Squalicum came back to win 25-22 in the fourth.

The Storm couldn’t close it out in the fifth, as they fell 15-11 on the road.

Junior Jolie Paz was a huge contributor for Squalicum with her 17 kills and 17 digs, and she was joined by junior libero Gwen Foy who added a team-high 20 digs and two aces.

Sophomore Alyssa Roselli posted 13 digs, 11 assists and two aces, while senior Jazzy Bersola finished with 18 assists, sophomore Penelope Durias had 13 digs and sophomore Tiana Thompson had five blocks.

 

BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, MERIDIAN 0

R. Bernardy

The mighty Tigers defeated the Trojans 25-17, 25-15 and 25-15 at home on Tuesday night.

Freshman Melanie Short led with 11 kills, and also finished with seven digs. Senior Rylan Bernardy had a team-high 11 digs.

Senior setter Grace Wells dished out 21 assists, while sophomore Eden Bernardy had six kills and eight digs and junior Taya Benson added a pair of blocks.
