MERIDIAN 3, LAKEWOOD 1

The Trojans defeated a very strong Cougar team in the first set 25-14, and Lakewood came back to take the second set 26-24. Meridian’s overall team performance at home proved to be took much, and it won the next two sets 25-14 and 25-21.

Sophomore Eden Bernardy broke through with 18 kills and 18 digs to lead the way, and she was followed close behind by freshman Melanie Short who finished with 15 kills, 13 digs and a team-high four aces.

Junior Gracie Pap also, had her biggest game of the season with 15 kills, with an incredible .520 hitting percentage, and two blocks.

Senior libero Rylan Bernardy was all over the back court with 29 digs, and she was usually feeding fellow senior Grace Wells who totaled a season-high 51 assists.

 

LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 3, SQUALICUM 0

Fritts

The Lyncs thwarted the Storm offensive attack, and blocked their way to three straight set wins, 25-14, 25-16 and 25-17.

Lynden Christian totaled 12 blocks on the evening, with junior Alli Wright leading the way with 3.5 of them, and senior Danya Dykstra finishing with 2.5.

Paz

Junior setter Ella Fritts added 23 assists, six digs, four kills and two blocks, while junior Etta DeJong led the offensive attack with six kills, and sophomore Lyla Parriera had a team-high 13 digs.

Squalicum was led by junior Jolie Paz who had team-highs with seven kills, two aces and six digs. Sophomore Alyssa Roselli also had six digs to go along with her 14 assists.

Sophomore Penelope Durias and junior Archer Burns each had five kills for the Storm.
