The Wolverines scored a run in the top of the first, and the Mountaineers threatened to tie it up in the bottom of the inning when third baseman Gavin Sternhagen laced a one-out double down the right field line, but he was left on base after the third out. Friday Harbor went on to score five runs in the second inning to widen the gap. Mount Baker got its lone run in the bottom of the third when Sawyer McLemore was hit by a pitch. He then advanced to second on a passed ball, and stole third. He eventually scored on a ground out from Sternhagen.
