The Tigers scored seven runs in the bottom of the second and carried the momentum through the rest of the game scoring five more runs across the next five innings. Cole Bauman and Evan Brown both scored a run in the bottom of the third and Bauman rocketed a ball down the left-field line for his first home run of the season, preventing the Pioneers from getting mercy-ruled. Brown finished with three hits, while Bauman and Landen Stauffer each had a pair of hits.
