The Lyncs got on the board in the bottom of the first when Austin Engels smashed a double that scored Jaxon Huleatt and Eli Maberry. The Cubs answered with a run in the fourth, but Lynden Christian added four more runs in the bottom of the fifth, and it was highlighted by Cole Larson who hit a bases-loaded single which scored two runs. Engels finished 3-for-4 with three runs batted in. Treyson Johnson went the distance on the mound to pick up his second win of the season, and he struck out five batters on the way.
