The Lynden bats were hot as the Lions pushed eight runs across in the top of the first and another in the second. The Pioneers collected three runs in the bottom of the second but Lynden scored another seven runs combined in the fourth and fifth innings to secure the mercy rule win. Spencer Adams struck out five batters and picked up his second win of the season. He also helped his own cause by going 3-for-3 at the plate with three runs batted in. Nooksack Valley got hits from Cole Bauman and Colby Martin.

It took just 78 pitches as Golden Eagle junior Fenton Vasak tossed a three-hit shutout at home against the Trojans. Ferndale also got a pair of hits from outfielders Nolan Boleak and Tracen Pazaski to lead the offense. Boleak also stole two bases. Trojan senior Jaeger Fyfe struck out seven batters, and went the distance, but took the loss despite not giving up an earned run. Meridian got hits from Fyfe, Pierce Brzozowski and Landon Rowley.

The Lyncs stayed hot, and won their seventh game in a row, and were led by senior second baseman Austin Engels who went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two stolen bases. Vance Elton rapped three hits, and Eli Maberry was 2-for-2 with three runs batted in and three runs scored. Sam Kok struck out six batters and picked up the complete game victory. The lone run for the Borderites came when Aaron Garza singled home Landon Brown. Ashton Vezzetti struck out three batters over four innings of work.

Bellingham 14, Mount Baker 1

Don’t look now, but the Bayhawks are a three-game winning streak, and have done it with three straight wins over 10 runs or more. This latest one came on the road at the hand of the Mountaineers who are still looking to capture their first conference win of the season. Eric Helfield led Bellingham with three hits and three runs scored out of his leadoff spot, and first baseman Eli Goodbuffalo drove in four runs. Joe Harward also drove in three runs for the Bayhawks. Sophomore pitcher Ben Leonard struck out five batters over five innings to pick up his second win of the season. The lone run for Mount Baker came in the bottom of the second inning when Toga Tigilau scored on an error. Kamden Moa also doubled for the Mounties.

The first five innings proved to be a nail biter as the Mariners held a slight 2-1 advantage, but they exploded for seven runs in the top of the sixth to grab a secure hold of the lead before taking the road win. Hudson Neff was 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, three runs scored and three stolen bases. He also twirled a gem on the mound as he struck out 10 batters over six innings of work. He was aided by Gunnar Tweit who had two hits and drove in three runs, and Sonny Myers who also drove in three runs.
