Nooksack Valley's Evan Brown struck out 13 batters in a row and shut out the Mountaineers.

The Pioneers picked up their first win of the season, and did it in dominating fashion as junior pitcher Evan Brown struck out 13 and gave up just one hit in the complete game shutout. Mountaineer leadoff hitter Tyson Barksdale singled to lead off the bottom of the first, and Brown then went on to pick him off at first base, get the next batter to pop out, and then strike out every batter he faced throughout the rest of the game. Colby Martin and Landen Stauffer each had a pair of hits for Nooksack Valley, while Stauffer, Brown and Cole Bauman each had two runs batted in.

Lynden 11, Lakewood 4

The Lions scored five runs in the top of the second inning and never looked back as they picked up the conference win on the road. Sophomore shortstop Gordy Bedlington had two hits, three stolen bases and drove in four runs to power the Lynden offense. He was aided by Matthew Carroll who added two hits, two runs scored, two stolen bases and three runs batted in. Dawson VanDalen also had two hits, while Daniel Reyes and Adason Holzer each scored three runs. Junior pitcher Spencer Adams struck out six batters over five innings to pick up the win.

Ferndale 8, Oak Harbor 3

The Golden Eagles grabbed their fourth win of the season behind the arm of Fenton Vasak who struck out 12 batters over six innings of work. Junior shortstop Braylon O’Breen singled, doubled and drove in three to lead the Ferndale offense, and Vasak added a pair of hits and a run scored. Joe Bense and Brayden Ebbesen each scored two runs.

Lynden Christian 9, Squalicum 8

Less than a week after no-hitting Squalicum, the Lyncs did everything they could to withstand the Storm late in the ball game as they pushed a run across in the top of the seventh to get their fifth win in a row. Lynden Christian led 8-0 after two innings, but Squalicum scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the game at 8-8. A sacrifice fly by Sam Kok scored Jaxon Huleatt in the seventh inning in what proved to be the game-winning score. Huleatt then got the final three outs of the game in the bottom of the inning. Huleatt scored three runs, and senior second baseman Austin Engels pounded out a single and a double. Storm third baseman Tanner Berg had a hit, walked twice and had two runs batted in to lead the Squalicum offense.

Anacortes 5, Sehome 1

The Seahawks scored all five of their runs before the Mariners were able to get into the batters box, and Sehome was finally able to push a run across in the bottom of the fifth when Jackson Evans singled home Gunnar Anderson. Junior pitcher Hudson Neff settled down after the first inning and threw five more innings without allowing a run.

Mount Vernon 11, Bellingham 1

Joe Harward scored in the top of the fifth inning, when C.R. Griffith lined out to center field, for the lone Bayhawk run as the mighty Bulldogs reigned supreme at home. Bellingham was held without a hit, and Tobias Lamb struck out two batters over three innings on the mound, but took the loss.
