With two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning freshman Tyler Martin singled up the middle to score Trevek McMillen which tied the game at 1-1. Crew Bauman scored on an error in the next at-bat which gave the Pioneers the lead. Evan Brown struck out 11 batters and gave up just four hits to pick up his second win of the season, and Crew Bauman got the final two outs to pick up the save. Matthew Blake and Colby Martin each had a pair of hits for Nooksack Valley.

Trojan pitchers Jaeger Fyfe and Landon Rowley combined for the one-hit shutout as Meridian got back to .500 with its sixth win of the season. Rowley also led the Trojan offense with two hits. Fyfe struck out six batters over four innings to pick up his 10th career varsity win, and Rowley picked up the three-inning save. The Storm got a hit from Tanner Berg.

Blaine 16, Mount Baker 6

The Borderites clung to a 3-2 lead until the bottom of the fifth when they score four runs. The Mountaineers closed the gap back to one run when they scored four runs in the top of the sixth, but Blaine put up nine in the bottom of the inning to close the game out. Evan Yates and Aaron Garza each racked up three hits, with Yates hitting the fifth triple of his varsity career. The Borderites also got a pair of his from George Streeter, Brady Dohner, Ashton Vezzetti and Landon Brown. Mount Baker got base hits from Magnus Melland, Gavin Sternhagen, Brad Strom and Cole Scott. Strom drove in two runs, and Caden Moser scored twice.

Sedro-Woolley 6, Bellingham 3

The Bayhawks scored three runs in the top of the third to get within one run of the Cubs, but Sedro-Woolley then scored twice more in the bottom of the sixth to put the game away at home. Junior Alden Scott doubled and drove in two runs to lead the Bellingham offense. Kai Nelson went the distance and allowed just two earned runs while striking out six.

Burlington-Edison 2, Sehome 0

The Tigers scored a run in each of the first two innings, and the Mariner offense held to just two hits as Sehome dropped the game on the road. Gunnar Anderson and Jad Geiger each got a hit for the Mariners, and Geiger struck out five batters over five innings of work.

Anacortes 11, Ferndale 1

The Seahawks continued to soar as they scored in nearly every inning and took the road win. Freshman designated hitter Chance Hatchett had two singles, Carson Brown was hit by a pitch twice and Braylon O’Breen walked, stole a base and scored a run in the bottom of the third to lead the Golden Eagle offense.

Oak Harbor 11, Lynden Christian 5

The Lyncs led 5-2 after four innings, but the Wildcats scored nine runs over the next two innings to take the lead and capture the win on the road. The Lyncs committed an uncharacteristic four errors and gave up six unearned runs. Jaxon Huleatt and Treyson Johnson each had a pair of base hits for Lynden Christian, and Iggy Frost drove in two runs.

Mount Vernon 17, Lynden 1

It just wasn’t Lynden’s day as Xavier Neyens homered in his first three at bats, over the first three innings, and the Bulldogs never looked back after that. The Lions got hits from Conner LeBel, Gordy Bedlington, Eli Dimter and Dane Marti.
