When the Lions had a scare last week against Nooksack Valley, free throw shooting was a big reason for it. That was shored up on Thursday as Lynden was a perfect 8-for-8 from the line, and the defense was stellar against the Mariners in the home win.

Speaking of perfect, junior forward Malachi Bowman enjoyed his best game of the season as he was a perfect 7-of-7 from the field for 15 points, while also adding five rebounds.

Senior forward Brant Heppner posted his seventh double-double of the season with 21 points and 11 rebounds, both game-highs for either squad.
