Mount Baker 59, Nooksack Valley 47
The Pioneers had beaten the Mountaineers five straight times, dating back three years, two of which were elimination games in the district playoffs, but a strong fourth quarter elevated Mount Baker past Nooksack Valley on Wednesday night.
The Mountaineers were down by two points after three quarters of play, but early three-pointers by senior Darius Gilstrap and junior Carter Hill swung the momentum in the way of the Mounties.
Both players finished with 16 points each to lead their team.
Sophomore center Kell Reardon added 10 points for Mount Baker, with six of them coming in the final period.
The Pioneers were led by senior point guard Caden Heutink who finished with 21 points.
Senior centers Brady Ackerman and Lance VanBerkum combined for 17 points down low, and junior guard Cole Coppinger added seven points, including a thrilling half-court buzzer beater to end the first half.

Lynden Christian 71, Anacortes 55
The Lyncs held a slight 47-45 lead after three quarters, but exploded for 24 points in the fourth quarter before capturing the home win against the Seahawks.
Sophomore guard Dawson Hintz finished with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists, and fellow sophomore guard Gunnar Dykstra had 16 points, five steals and four assists to lead the Lyncs.
Senior forward Luke VanKooten posted 11 points and seven rebounds, and sophomore forward Kaden Veldman added eight points, eight boards and two blocked shots.
Senior guard Gannon Dykstra had a rare off-shooting night, but still managed to lead his team with eight assists.

Lakewood 75, Lummi Nation 63
It was bombs away as both teams combined for 22 made three-pointers and the Cougars were able to fend off a strong Blackhawk comeback in the second half to get the win on the road.
Sophomore guard Landon LaFontaine led Lummi Nation with 20 points, and he hit 5-of-6 shots from three-point land.
Junior guard Jerome Toby finished with 19 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists, and sophomore guard Dyson Edwards added 12 points on four 3-pointers.
Senior forward Trevon Lee chipped in eight points on 3-of-3 shooting.
