Heppner

The Borderites played their best game of the year and hung with the undefeated Lions at home, but weren’t able pull out the win.

Lynden overcame a tough night at the foul line (10-of-21) to come away victorious as senior forward Brant Heppner led the way with 25 points and seven rebounds.

Weeda

Senior forward Jack Stapleton finished with 12 points and eight rebounds while shooting 5-of-8 from the field, and junior guard Spencer Adams added 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

Blaine senior guard Josiah Weeda was 8-for-13 from the field and finished with 20 points and nine rebounds to lead the Borderites.

Senior forward Abdul Kanagie had 14 points, and junior forward Landon Melton returned to the lineup to score 13 points.

Turrell

The Mariners held a slight advantage after one quarter of play, but the Bulldogs took the lead in the second quarter, and continued to expand their lead at home until the final buzzer.

Junior center Cole Turrell led Sehome with 13 points, and scored 11 of them in the first half.

Senior forward Cooper McAtee and junior guard Nolan Wright each finished with eight points, while sophomore guard Quincy Tanovan and junior forward Xavier Kelley scored six second-half points each.

Wright

After a relatively close three quarters of basketball, the Cubs closed the game out with a 23-9 run which secured the win at home.

The Bayhawks, who were without star senior Kincade VanHouten, got big plays from junior forward Joe Harward and junior point guard Myllo Wright.

Harward led the team with 17 points and eight rebounds on 7-of-13 shooting, and Wright had a career-high 11 assists.

The VanHofwegen brothers each had five rebounds and connected on a pair of three-pointers as Gabe ended with 12 points and Calvin finished with 10 points.

Senior guard Harmon Wienkers added 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting.
