Jenkins

Meridian senior forward Talon Jenkins hit a three-pointer to the sound of the first-quarter buzzer, expanding the Trojan lead to 12-7 and putting his point total into double digits at 10. Jenkins finished the game with a team-high 23 points.

Despite the Trojans pulling ahead by 10 points, Ferndale raced on a 7-0 run to pull back with four points, and the first half ended with only a five-point difference. The Trojans outscored the Golden Eagles 16-9 in the third to pull ahead by 12 points and didn’t look back.

Wills

Jenkins also led with 13 rebounds, and fellow senior guard Jaeger Fyfe added 11 points, seven assists and six rebounds.

Sophomore guards Pierce Brzozowski and Trey Alexander chipped in with six points each.

Ferndale was in scoring by seniors Hunter Wills and Tommy Mack, as well as junior Mantaj Singh, all of which scored nine points.

Senior forward Jonah Brillowsky pulled down seven rebounds, and Singh added four blocked shots.

Hofer

The Bayhawks were down in the second half, but were able to tie the game up at 45-45 with a little over six minutes to go when senior guard Harmon Weinkers buried his third three-pointer of the game. It was quickly answered when Storm senior forward Jaxon Hofer hit a three-pointer, and Bellingham tied it on the next possession on a three-pointer from sophomore Calvin VanHofwegen.

Harward

A layup by Bayhawk junior forward Joe Harward gave Bellingham a 50-48 lead with 5:13 left in the game, but Squalicum finished the night on a 15-8 run.

Storm guards Marcus Nixon and Hunter Calloway scored 17 points each, and they were aided by Hofer and sophomore guard Blake Elston who each added 10 points.

Harward logged 31 points for Bellingham.

Kanagie

The Borderites ran into a buzz saw that were the collective Cougars as Lakewood’s strong defense, passing and shooting proved to be too much for Blaine.

Senior forward Abdul Kanagie led the Borderites with 17 points and eight rebounds, while also making all four of his foul shots.

Senior guard Beckum Bleazard added seven points and five boards, and senior Josiah Weeda and junior Landon Melton had seven rebounds each, with Weeda also leading Blaine with four assists.
