In front of a raucous crowd, with a playoff-like atmosphere, the city rivalry between Sehome and Bellingham was alive and well, but the game didn’t look too great for the Mariners at the half when they found themselves down by double digits.

Sehome outscored the Bayhawks 13-9 in the third quarter to cut the deficit to six points, and 22-point fourth quarter by the Mariners allowed them to rise above and take the road win.

Harward

Junior point guard Nolan Wright was a big reason for the fourth quarter comeback as he scored eight of his team-high 19 points in the final six minutes of the game.

Sehome junior forward Cole Turrell also scored 15 points, and sophomore guard Quincy Tanovan added 10 points, including some big free throws down the final stretch.

Junior forward Xavier Kelley chipped in with eight points and 13 rebounds.

Bellingham was led by junior forward Joe Harward who finished with 21 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots, all of which led the Bayhawks.

Senior guard Harmon Weinkers had 13 points, including back-to-back three-pointers in the fourth quarter which kept Bellingham in the contest.

Singh

The Borderites made a strong push in the fourth quarter, and held a two-point lead with 2:30 left in the game, but the Golden Eagles went on a 7-2 run in the final two minutes to take the victory.

Blaine turned the ball over three times in the final two minutes, which enabled Ferndale to obtain free possessions which helped secure the win.

Kanagie

Golden Eagle junior forward Mantaj Singh shot 8-for-16 from the field and finished with a game-high 20 points. Senior forward Hunter Wills added 16 points and five rebounds.

Senior forward Jonah Brillowsky had 12 points, and senior guard Lincoln Thomas had a great overall game with eight points, five assists, four rebounds and three steals.

The Borderites were led offensively by senior forward Abdul Kanagie who scored 12 of his team-high 14 points in the second half, including a two-handed breakaway dunk.

Junior forward Landon Melton had 13 points and six rebounds, and senior guard Josiah Weeda also finished with 13 points.

L. Smith

The Mountaineers played inspired basketball in the first quarter, and went off for 20 points while holding the Cougars to 15.

Unfortunately for Mount Baker, Lakewood went on the offensive attack from deep in the second quarter and nailed six shots from beyond the arc and led 44-32 at the half.

The Cougars connected on five more three-pointers in the second half, while holding the Mountaineers to just eight second-half points.

Senior forward Luke Smith led Mount Baker with 11 points, and senior forward Darius Gilstrap added seven points.
