There was a lot on the line for the Blackhawks.

Revenge, after falling to the Hawks 68-63 on the road on two weeks ago. Pride, going against the RPI’s top-ranked 1B team in the state, and of course, a league championship.

It wasn’t easy, as Lummi Nation found itself down by double-digits after one quarter of play, but a hot-shooting second quarter gave the Blackhawks a two-point lead at the half.

Lummi Nation extended it’s lead to double-digits heading into the fourth quarter, and withstood a strong Eagle comeback to secure the win in front of a huge home crowd.

Junior point guard Jerome Toby poured in 28 points, which toped his previous season-high of 24 points which he accomplished three times earlier in the season.

Sophomore guard Landon LaFontaine finished with 14 points, and senior guard Karson Revey added 11 points.

Brzozowski

The Trojans got off to a fast start, especially from the outside, and drained six three pointers over the first eight minutes of the game to grab a 27-18 advantage.

The Bulldogs tightened the gap to just three points by the half, but a 20-9 surge by Meridian in the third allowed the Trojans to pull away and pick up the win on the road.

It was the usual suspects as senior forward Talon Jenkins had 20 points, and senior guard Jaeger Fyfe finished with 19 points, but Meridian was also keyed by the career-high 19 points from sophomore guard Pierce Brzozowski.

Nixon

The short-handed Storm had a strong second half, and pulled out the road win over the Pioneers.

Squalicum kept its hot hand, winners of three in a row, by outscoring Nooksack Valley 36-22 after halftime.

B. Ackerman

Senior guard Marcus Nixon scored 12 of his team-high 20 points in the second half to lead the surge, which was also aided by sophomore guard Blake Elston who pumped in eight of his 11 points in the second half.

Senior forward Ezra Nichols and sophomore guard Hunter Calloway each scored 10 points for the Storm.

The Pioneers were led by seniors Cory Olney and Brady Ackerman, each of whom scored 14 points.

Senior guard Caden Heutink added 11 points.

Fun fact, Nixon and Ackerman will be college football teammates in the fall at Eastern Washington University.
