Nixon

The Storm were down 46-43 entering the fourth quarter, but then played their best eight minutes of the game and came away with the road victory.

Senior guard Marcus Nixon shot 9-for-15 from the field and finished with a game-high 21 points for Squalicum.

Kanagie

He was closely followed by sophomore guard Hunter Calloway who had 19 points and five steals, and also made 8-of-9 from the foul line.

Senior forward Jaxon Hofer added 11 points and four rebounds.

Blaine was led by senior forward Abdul Kanagie who scored 12 points on 5-of-10 from the field.

Senior guards Josiah Weeda and Beckum Bleazard each scored 11 points, and junior forward Landon Melton added 10 points for the Borderites.

Ga. Dykstra

The Lyncs did it again with another high-octane offensive performance that led to a big win at home.

Senior guard Gannon Dykstra continued his huge season with a 33-point performance, in which he also had 13 rebounds, nine assists, three steals and he made four of his seven 3-point attempts, and nine of his 10 foul shots.

Sophomore guard Gunner Dykstra was also on point with 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting, and sophomore guard Dawson Hintz finished with 14 points, four assists and two dunks that thrilled the home crowd.

Senior forward Luke Vankooten added 11 points, four rebounds and three steals.

Edwards

The Blackhawks were back to playing their kind of basketball in day two of the MVC Hoopin’ Into the New Year Tournament by collecting 22 steals, and shooting nearly 50% from the field.

Sophomore guard Dyson Edwards led the way with 22 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals, and junior point guard Jerome Toby finished with 20 points, nine assists and seven steals.

Senior guard Rayshawn Bob connected on a pair of three-pointers and finished with eight points, and sophomore center Deandre James had eight points and eight rebounds.

Lummi Nation also got a boost from the return of senior guard Karson Revey who had five rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Kelley

The Seahawks flew out to a 35-8 halftime lead, and although the Mariners went on a 22-6 run to begin the second half, it wouldn’t be enough as Anacortes took the road win.

Junior forward Xavier Kelley shot 7-for-13 from the field and finished with 16 points and six rebounds for Sehome.

Junior point guard Nolan Wright also pumped in 16 points, while also picking up a team-high five assists and three steals.

The Mariners also welcomed back junior center Cole Turrell who pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.

Brillowsky

The Cougars exploded for 45 points in the first half, and finished the game with 13 three-pointers made as the Golden Eagles couldn’t make up the difference on the road.

Senior forward Jonah Brillowsky led Ferndale with 15 points, eight rebounds and three blocks.

Junior forward Mantaj Singh had 11 points, four rebounds and three assists, and junior guard Kaveer Dhillon added seven points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Senior guard Raj Grewal also came off the bench to hit a pair of deep balls.
