The Golden Eagles played their most complete game of the season by blanking the Seahawks on the road. Evan Saxman, Andrey Savenko and Henry Huynh each scored a goal on assists by Jackson York, Coen Braun and Daniel Savenko. Goalie Josh Ruble also made numerous diving saves to keep Anacortes off the scoreboard.
Nooksack Valley 4, Mount Baker 3
The Pioneers played strong all week, and ended it by getting into the win column after the narrow win on the road. Chris Moncada-Castillo scored two goals to lead Nooksack Valley, who also got goals from Brian Ramirez and Adrian Chavez. The Mountaineers got a pair of goals from Austin Simmons, and Brayden Richardson also scored for Mount Baker.
Squalicum 3, Bellingham 0
The Storm looked sharp at home as they defeated their crosstown rivals. Sebastian Cruz, Cody McCaulley and Drew Swanson each scored for Squalicum.
Sehome 6, Lynden Christian 1
Two days after scoring two goals, Rudy Zurcher had two assists as Julian Herring was the main recipient as he scored a pair of goals to lead the Mariners to the win over the Lyncs. Sehome also got two goals from Grady Evans, and one goal each from Chris Munkzul and Blake Moore. Liam Schumacher had two assists, and an assist also came from Herring and Ryder Syre. Harvest Howell scored for the Lyncs, on an assist from Trevin Molendyk.
Mount Vernon 1, Lynden 0
48 hours after playing in a game that featured 10 goals, the Lions had to settle for the narrow defeat at home against the Bulldogs.
Sedro-Woolley 1, Meridian 0
The Trojans had multiple possessions near the Cub goal in the second half, but just wasn’t able to score a goal as Sedro-Woolley hung on for the win.
Burlington-Edison 7, Blaine 0
It was all Tigers as the Borderites couldn’t make it two wins in a row.
