Bayhawk senior Cooper Whipple scored the first goal of the game about 15 minutes in, and Bellingham enjoyed a lead until sophomore Parker McManus scored for the Golden Eagles. The game ended in a tie at Bellingham High School.
Squalicum 4, Mount Vernon 1
The Storm survived the Bulldogs, and are still yet to be beaten in the young 2025 campaign. Squalicum had even scoring as goals came from Cody McCaulley, Sebastian Cruz-Gonzalez, Christian Valerio-Garcia and Marvin Palacios-Zuninga.
Sehome 2, Oak Harbor 0
The Mariners remained undefeated as sophomore Bane Mitchell picked up another clean sheet. Chris Munkhzul scored a goal, which was assisted by Mason Ivcevic, and Liam Schumacher also scored on a penalty kick which was assisted by Blake Moore.
Blaine 3, Nooksack Valley 0
The Borderites picked up their first win of the season by shutting out the Pioneers at home. Senior Isaiah Zuch scored a pair of goals, and the final goal of the game came from Dima Yuryev.
Lynden Christian 10, Mount Baker 1
It was all Lyncs, with numerous players getting in on the action. Logan Bos and Haiden Kooiman each scored a pair of goals to lead Lynden Christian, who also got a goal from Jacob Penner, Carter Ahlers, Jackson Yun, Logan Bos, Isaac Scott and Harvest Howell. Penner also had a pair of assists. The Mountaineers scored on a penalty kick from Austin Simmons.
Lynden 3, Sedro-Woolley 3
The Cubs scored the first goal of the game, but the Lions responded quickly by scoring on the following possession on a goal from Eduardo Briseno, which was assisted by Ivan Garcia-Zapata. Lynden then got goals from Victor Huaracha and Markus Koenen, both were assisted by Briseno, and led 3-1 at the midway break. Sedro-Woolley were able to score twice in the final 20 minutes to even the score.
Burlington-Edison 3, Meridian 1
The Trojans got a goal from junior Skyler Rowe, but it wouldn’t be enough against the Tigers at home on Saturday afternoon.
