After a scoreless first 12 minutes of the game, the Storm grabbed control and scored three goals before the half. They went on to score five more in the second half without allowing a goal. Squalicum got two goals each from Cody McCaulley and David Leslie. The Storm also got goals from Slade Kaiser, Christian Valerio, Sebastian Cruz and Fabian Lara. The Pioneers battled hard, but are still looking for their first victory of the season.
Meridian 3, Blaine 1
Kellen Todd scored twice, and the Trojans also got a goal from Skyler Rowe as Meridian pulled out the win on the road. The Borderite goal came from Dima Yuryev.
Sehome 2, Mount Vernon 2
Rudy Zurcher scored a pair of goals, but settled for the draw at home against the Bulldogs. Zurcher’s goals were assisted by Liam Schumacher and Blake Moore.
Ferndale 2, Burlington-Edison 2
The Golden Eagles posted their fifth draw of the season after getting goals from Andrew Richins and Max Savchak. The goals were assisted by Evan Saxman and Coen Braun.
Bellingham 0, Oak Harbor 0
The Bayhawks were in control for the majority of the match, but the Wildcat goalie made save after save as Bellingham had to settle for the scoreless draw on the road.
Anacortes 1, Lynden Christian 0
The Lyncs outshot the Seahawks 12-8, but a brief blunder by the defense gave way to the lone goal of the afternoon by Anacortes.
