The Lyncs led 2-0 late in the contest, thanks to a pair of goals coming from sophomore Harvest Howell, one of which was assisted by his brother Oak Howell, but the Bulldogs scored twice in the final three minutes to tie the game up at the end of regulation. Goalkeeper Gavin VanLoo finished with nine saves.
Squalicum 3, Lynden 1
Storm junior Cody McCaulley scored twice, and senior Alex Benyi also scored to lead Squalicum to the home win over the Lions. Lynden’s goal came from sophomore Malachi Koenen.
Bellingham 2, Sedro-Woolley 0
Freshman Nathaniel Wilson and senior Avi Brennan each scored a goal for the Bayhawks who moved to 3-0 on the season.
Ferndale 0, Meridian 0
Although there was zero scoring, the referees stayed busy as the contest was ultra competitive which brought out numerous yellow cards. It was Ferndale’s second tie in as many games, and the Trojans are still looking for their first win of the season.
Lakewood 4, Blaine 1
Wade Lottimer scored a goal for the Borderites, but it wouldn’t be enough as Blaine fell to the Cougars on the road.
Oak Harbor 6, Nooksack Valley 0
The Wildcats scored four goals in the first half, and scored twice more in the second half as they shut out the Pioneers at home.
