The Pioneers started the scoring less than four minutes into the game when freshman Adrian Chavez broke loose to score his first goal of the season. The Golden Eagles tied it up with less than four minutes remaining in the first half when senior Hayden DeAnnuntis connected on a header from close range off a corner kick. Ferndale junior Kaveer Dhillon scored five minutes into the second half as the Golden Eagles avoided their sixth tie of the season.

 

Lynden 7, Blaine 1

The Lions came back from spring break in a big way by taking down the Borderites at home. Eddie Briseno and Malachi Koenen each scored a pair of goals, while Lynden also received goals from Markus Koenen, Justin Stenier and Victor Huaracha. The Borderite goal came from Maxim Yuyev.

 

Lynden Christian 2, Meridian 2

Sophomore Harvest Howell scored on a header 13 minutes into the game to give the Lyncs an early advantage, and the Trojans answered back just minutes later on a goal from Omar Abdo. Meridian then went on top with just under eight minutes left in the first half when Adrian Meza shot through the middle of the field and scored. Howell then scored his second goal of the game early in the second half to tie the game at 2-2. The Lyncs missed a penalty kick in the second half that would have given them the lead.

 

Sehome 0, Sedro-Woolley 0

The Mariners had a chance to score in the closing seconds of the game, but the Cub goalie made a diving save to keep the contest at a scoreless draw.

 

Anacortes 3, Bellingham 2

Carson Brethauer scored a pair of goals but it just wasn’t enough against the Seahawks at home.
