The Mariners continued their strong push with the road win against the Golden Eagles. Sehome got goals from Mason Ivcevic, Liam Schumacher and Julian Herring, which were assisted by Rudy Zurcher, Ryder Syre and Chris Munkhzul. Ferndale scored with les than eight minutes left in the game on a penalty kick from senior Coen Braun.
Lynden 3, Anacortes 2
The Lions got a goal and two assists from Eddie Briseno as they took the win at home over the Seahawks. Markus Koenen and Victor Huaracha also scored for Lynden, and Malachi Koenen had an assist.
Lynden Christian 3, Lakewood 1
Sophomore Harvest Howell had a hat trick in the first half on the road to lead his team to victory. Gunnar Parriera and Josh Davis each had an assist, and Howell’s other goal came on a free kick.
Bellingham 1, Meridian 0
A long throw in the final minute of the game by the Bayhawks led to Manny Hernandez heading the ball in for the lone goal of the game. Both goalkeepers made great plays throughout, which led to the thrilling final moment.
Squalicum 1, Oak Harbor 0
A free kick from Isaac Grimes with just under six minutes left in the game was perfectly placed where only David Leslie could make a play on it. Leslie’s header scored the eventual game-winner, but it was at a cost as he took a hard hit while he was airborne, and had to be taken out of the game.
Mount Vernon 1, Blaine 0
The Borderites played one of their best games of the season, but were just clipped by the Bulldogs at home.
Burlington-Edison 2, Nooksack Valley 0
The Pioneers have greatly improved over the last month of the season, and took the narrow loss at home against the Tigers.
