Scorekeepers were kept busy as the two schools totaled 50 runs in over three hours of fastpitch on Friday night. The Trojans led 8-0 after one inning, but the Storm kept coming back and scored 10 runs over their own in the top of the third inning. Squalicum was down 27-18 going into the final inning, and put across five more runs, but the game was finally put to rest on the base paths after the Storm rounded the bases five times in the final inning. Stats are still being calculated.

Nooksack Valley 9, Lakewood 4

The Pioneers remained unbeaten on the season after racking up 14 hits on the road against the Cougars. Leading the hit brigade was junior pitcher Payton Bartl who went 3-for-4, and also scored two runs. She also struck out four batters in four innings of work in the circle to grab her second win of the season. Alayna Dykstra, Shelby Mason and Kennedy Burke each had a pair of hits for Nooksack Valley. Dykstra had a double, and Mason stole three bases.

Lync sophomore Roxanne Lenning did a little bit of everything against the Grizzlies as she had three hits, including a homerun, five runs batted in, and she also struck out six batters and gave up just three hits in the complete game victory. Kortnee Tolsma dove in three runs, while she, Taylor Craig and Brooke VanLoo each had a pair of hits.

Game two of the double header for the Lyncs was drastically different as they faced one of the premier programs in the state. Lynden Christian got a hit from Taylor Craig and Ariana DeBoer. Senior pitcher Kassidy VanSoest took the loss, but did strike out 11 batters.
