The Lyncs jumped out to a 6-0 lead before the Pioneers came to the plate, which was highlighted by a double off the bat of Roxanne Lenning, which scored Kassidy VanSoest and Taylor Craig. Lynden Christian then made it 8-0 when Brooke VanLoo led off the top of the fifth with a solo shot over the left field fence. With two outs in the bottom of the fifth, Nooksack Valley went on a bit of a run when Kestyn Wagter singled home Alexis Larson, and that was followed up by a three-run homerun from Alayna Dykstra. VanSoest struck out eight batters and went the distance to pick up her first win of the season.

The Mariners scored twice to open up the game, but the Mountaineers countered with 12 runs in the bottom of the first, and controlled the rest of the contest at home. Senior shortstop Annalee Cohn was 5-for-5, and was a homerun shy of hitting for the cycle, to lead the Mount Baker offense. She and senior Maddy Jungquist each had three runs batted in, and Cohn also scored four runs and stole two bases. Sehome was led by Sarah Kruzich who had a homerun and three runs batted in, and leadoff hitter Jacinta Lewis who had three hits, including a double.

The Lions scored at least three runs over the first four innings to help them take the road victory. Melanie Anderson and Campbell DeJong each hit a double to ignite the Lynden offense. Anderson also drove in three runs and scored three runs, while DeJong had three hits and scored three runs. Rebecca Powell was also 2-for-2 in the game with two runs scored and two RBI’s. Emily McVie struck out three batters in her four innings of work to pick up her first win of the season. Storm sophomore Addy Hauber led her team with two hits, including a double, and two stolen bases. Keisha McCloud struck out eight batters, but took the loss for Squalicum.

The Golden Eagles unleashed 10 runs in the top of the second inning, and six more in the top of the third, as they cruised to the road victory. Ferndale sophomore Kate Johnston continued her hot hitting as she went 2-for-3 with a double and a homerun, three runs batted in and three runs scored. The Golden Eagles also got a pair of hits from Maddy Slevin, Hailey Pavitt and Amaya Chervenock. Freshman pitcher Charlotte Simon allowed just two hits over three innings as she picked up her fourth win of the season. The Trojans were led by senior first baseman Sydney TenKley who was 2-for-2.
